A former interior designer and student of textile design, Brigitte Heitland has been sewing since she was a young girl. After making her own clothes for many years, Brigitte discovered quilting about ten years ago.  But she was hooked immediately.

Brigitte brings a modern, sophisticated style in her quilts. They are characterised by an astute simplicity, harmonious color and outstanding workmanship. Brigitte launched her brand ZEN CHIC in 2010 with her quilt patterns and soon added fabric design.  As an experienced, skilled long-arm quilter, she teaches classes on contemporary quilting techniques.  She also teaches classes on the use of color, using solids in quilts and finding inspiration for color palettes.

Preorder Policy

  • No cancellations on preorders
  • Payment is collected at the time of order; we will ship as soon as it gets to the shop, usually within 2 business days.
  • Please see the item's description for its estimated time of arrival. Estimated ship dates can change; unfortunately, this is out of our control. All items in a preorder will be shipped as soon as we get them.
  • Preorder items from a single collection should be the only items ordered for one checkout. Please place orders for in-stock items separately. If you order across multiple preorder collections, all will be held until the last item arrives. 
  • It is very common for collections to have precuts and yardage arrive at different times; if ordering both, it will not ship until all items are in!
